This slideshow presentation gives an overview of the Fort Caroline story.  It was prepared for the 450th anniversary celebration of the founding of Florida. 

 

The Jacksonville Historical Society’s “The Jacksonville History Show” interviews local historian, Lynn Corley, and DAR Regent, Jane Alford, on Jean Ribault and Jacksonville’s French Heritage.  This presentation is in two parts.

 

“Conquest of America” was a 2005 History Chanel mini-series.  This episode deals with the conquest of the Southeast and features the story of Fort Caroline.

On September 20, 2014, a debate concerning the location of Fort Caroline was held at the University of North Florida.  The debate featured Dr. Robert Thunen from the Anthropology department at UNF and Dr. Anita Spring of the University of Florida.  This video is in two parts.
